The Story of dialekt
Dialegd first opened its doors in December 2013 as a dedicated Refsvindinge bar. The atmosphere was informal, the beer unique, and the place quickly became a small cult bar on Copenhagen’s beer scene.
In 2021, Julie took over and transformed the bar into a haven for the Danish craft beer community – with a focus on spreading awareness of the many Danish dialects within the world of beer.
In the summer of 2025, we – Rasmus and Kasper – took over the bar. With great respect for its history and Julie’s efforts, we chose to carry on its DNA while also leaving our own mark. That is why we changed the name from Dialegd to dialekt – a name that both honors the original idea and marks the beginning of a new era.
Our Vision
We dream of creating the home base for Danish breweries in Copenhagen. A place where small and independent breweries always have room on the taps, and where guests are met with beer served with insight, passion, and respect. We see ourselves as ambassadors of beer – a brewer and a sommelier, working together to build a bridge between breweries and guests.
The Atmosphere
dialekt is meant to feel like home. When you walk in, you should feel warmth, presence, and humor – like a cozy inn in the middle of the city. We’ve shaped the space with small, personal details.
Here, service is always eye-to-eye, the music is flavored with rock from the 90s and 00s, with outskirts to other periods and always handpicked by the bartender working that night. The beer is sourced from Danish craft producers who put their heart and soul into every brew.
Who We Are
Rasmus
Rasmus is the driving force and heart of the bar. A trained beer sommelier with over 10 years of experience in hospitality, mainly as a waiter, he is passionate about taste and storytelling. He loves the challenge of matching each guest with the perfect beer, based on their preferences and desires.
Best described as a warm, kind, down-to-earth Jutlandic innkeeper, he greets everyone with a smile and a friendly “hi.” With his deep knowledge of beer history and his ability to make flavor come alive, he ensures that the beer menu is always exciting and varied.
Kasper
Kasper is best known as the founder of Kasper Brew Co., which of course always has a place on the taps at dialekt. He is an idea-driven creator with a sharp eye for experiences, and his passion for beer is paired with a natural ability to spread good vibes. He is a passionate music lover, who uses song titles for all of the beer Kasper Brew Co. puts into the market.
You’ll usually find him behind the bar about once a week – always ready with bad jokes, plenty of charm, and deep insights from the world of brewing. Kasper is the kind of person who juggles ideas, sparks energy, and gives guests experiences they won’t forget.
For us, beer isn’t just something you drink. It’s craftsmanship, culture, and history.
